Barnardsville

Evelynn Ray Barber was born in Asheville on September 8, 2026, and passed away peacefully in Asheville on September 9, 2026, just hours after her birth. Although her time on earth was far too brief, Evelynn was deeply loved from the very moment she entered this world. Her precious life, though short, touched the hearts of all who welcomed her, and the love she brought into her family will remain forever. While her family grieves her absence, they find comfort knowing that Evelynn is now resting safely in the loving arms of Jesus, surrounded by His everlasting love and peace.

Evelynn is survived by her loving parents, Lillin Rector and Jonathan Barber, Jr. She will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Tristen, Eowyn, and Rowen, who will forever hold a special place for their baby sister in their hearts and in their family’s story.

She is also survived by her loving grandparents: Jonathan and Melody Barber, and Melanie and Rick Rector, who join her family in mourning her passing and cherishing the precious memory of her life.

Evelynn may have been with her family for only a few precious hours, but in that brief time, she was surrounded by love. She was welcomed into this world as a cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, and beloved member of her family. Her presence, however brief, will never be forgotten.

Her family will hold a private service to honor her life at a later date.

Though her life was measured in hours rather than years, Evelynn Ray Barber’s life was precious, meaningful, and deeply loved. She leaves behind a love that cannot be measured by time—a love that will remain in the hearts of her family forever. Her tiny life made a lasting imprint, and she will be remembered always with tenderness, love, and the hope that one day her family will hold her again. Her tiny life made a lasting imprint on their hearts, and they look forward to the day when they will be reunited with her in Heaven.
