Faye King Sluder

Alexander –Faye King Sluder, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at The Greens at Weaverville.

A native of Henderson County she resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Hardie King and Doris Johnson King.

Mrs. Sluder was a member of Ridgeview Missionary Baptist Church since 1982, and retired from the USPS as a rural mail carrier in 2006.

Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Ronald Eugene Sluder; sons: Jason Eugene Sluder, and Brandon Hardie Sluder and wife Leslie; grandchildren: Jackson Cole Sluder, Addie Bree Sluder; sister, Linda Norris and husband Randall; brother, Rev. Jimmy King and wife Joy; and nieces and nephews: Matthew King, Tim King, Ashley Kuykendall (Robbie), Amy Heatherly, Keith Norris (Lisa), and Jill Surrett (Shawn).

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Ridgeview Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jack Huskins officiating.
