Florence Pearson

Arden - Florence Stancil Pearson, 78, passed away Saturday June 13, 2009 at her residence. A native of Spartanburg, SC, she had lived in Buncombe County since 1971. She was a member of the Eastern Star and of the BPOE Does. She was a daughter of the late James Otto and Martha Elizabeth Love Stancil and the wife of the late Roy Virgil Pearson. Surviving are her son, William M. Pearson of Arden; daughters, Marcia and Martha Pearson both of Arden and Cindi Sparks and husband Wendell of Asheville; 1 sister; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Cindy Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
