Frances Sluder Sprinkle

Asheville - Frances Sluder Sprinkle, 89, of 45 Green Oak Road died Friday January 10, 2003 at Emerald Ridge Rehab and Care Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was the oldest living member of Elk Mountain Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Jesse Lon and Harriett Elizabeth Gantt Parham. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Burgin Levi Sluder and Weldon R. Sprinkle; brothers, C.R. Bud Parham and Thea Parham. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Alexander of Leicester; son, Ed Sluder and wife Jean of Candler; sisters, Thedra Brumfield and Mary Stewart both of Asheville; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Dean Huggins officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 PM Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff of A Hall at Emerald Ridge and a special thanks to Linda for taking care of Mrs. Sprinkle.
