Freddy Delury

Asheville Manfred Lothar Freddy DeLury, 62, of 96 White Fawn Drive, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Charles George VA Medical Center. Freddy was born in Heidelberg, Germany to the late Charles Gerald and Doris DeLury. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Freddy touched many peoples lives in Asheville and at the VA. Some knew him as the self-proclaimed president of the United States of America. He was deeply loyal to God and Country. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in the chapel of Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors conducted by the NC National Guard. Friends may visit at the cemetery following the services.
