Furman Leroy Luther

Asheville - Furman Leroy Luther, 67, of 176 Cedar Hill Rd. died Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at Mission St. Josephs Care System. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a member of Woodland Terrace Baptist Church. Mr. Luther was the son of the late Furman Melvin and Nell Banks Luther. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, G. Melvin Luther and J.B. Luther. Surviving are his children, Michael L. Luther and wife Zona of Mt. Morris, MI, Danny C. Luther and wife Lynda L. of Sandston, VA, Robin D. Davidson and husband Edward of Alamagordo, NM, Teresa L. Camilli and friend Dennis Schaef of Meadville, PA, Lisa D. Williams and husband, Kenneth of Flint, MI and Vikki D. Moore and husband Brian of Mass City, MI; sister, Ruby N. Clement of Asheville; 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and former wife, Carolyn Janet Holcombe Luther Poe of Alamagordo, NM. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Lee Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Ruby Clement, 119 N. Bear Creek Rd., Asheville. Memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.
