Garry Smith Henderson

Asheville – Garry Smith Henderson, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 4, 2020, at Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Hamptonville, NC, he resided in Asheville since 1964. He was the son of the late George Smith Henderson and Effie May Trivette Henderson. Mr. Henderson was a Veteran of the US Navy and worked most of his life as a Heavy Equipment Operator until retirement in 2001. He was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lands Henderson of the home; daughters: Renee Hicks and husband Ricky, Debbie Revis and husband Roger both of Yadkin County, NC, and Kaye Walsh and husband Mark of Charlotte; sons: Wayne Henderson, and Tim Felts both of Yadkin County, NC; sisters: Geraldine Brandon of Yadkin County, NC, and Gay Nell Allen and husband Jeff of Florida; brothers: Tony Henderson and wife Kay, Tim Henderson both of Winston-Salem, and Lynn Henderson and wife Kim of Yadkin County, NC; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and his special four-leg friend, Jr. No services are planned at this time.
