Gary F. Gibson

Swannanoa Gary Franklin Gibson, 68, of 142 Park Ridge Avenue went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native and resident most of his life of Buncombe County. He retired as a long distant truck driver and formerly was employed with the City of Asheville Sanitation Department. Mr. Gibson was a son of the late Arthur Hayward Gibson and Nancy Jean Kelly Gibson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Gary Randall Randy Gibson; brothers, Kenneth Gibson, Harold Alvin Gibson and Richard Kelly and sister, Catherine Drake. Surviving are his wife whom he married June 25, 1994, Sue Carter Gibson of the home; loving daughters, Tammy Lynn Gibson of Asheville and Dr. Michelle Bullman and her husband and special son-in-law Brian of Gray, TN; grandchildren, Wesley Vincent Gibson and wife Tiffany of Arden and Larissa Ann Bullman of Gray, TN; sisters, Pat Fisher of Arden and Mildred Yates of Asheville. Funeral services will be held 3 P.M. Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mtn.
