Gary Wayne Erwin

Gary Wayne Erwin, 62, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at his home. A native of Transylvania County, he had resided in Buncombe County for most of his life. He was the owner of Erwin Masonry. Mr. Erwin was a son of the late Calvin and Lorene Irene Malone Erwin. Surviving are his wife, Annette Erwin of the home; children, Renee Erwin (Kenneth) of Fairview, Ashley Cagle (Matthew) of Columbia, SC, Candace Honeycutt (Claude) of Whidbey Island, WA, Whitney Edmonds (Phelan) of Arden and Taylor Erwin (Michael) of the home; son-in-law, Jimmy Penland of Balsam; grandchildren, Jessica, Amber, Raine, Lathan, Trevor, Colten, Brantley, Adalynn and Soren Wayne Ducker; great grandchildren, Naomi and Xaevier; sister, Tesla Hood of Asheville; brother, Lloyd Robinson of Asheville; mother-in-law, Emily Bugg of Givens Estate and many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, October 23, 2016 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will be at 10 AM Monday, October 24, 2016 in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
