George Henry Jones

Arden - George Henry Jones, 86, of 8 Fair Oak Road, died Wednesday September 17, 2003 at St. Josephs Hospital after an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He retired from Southern Railway after 40 years of service. He attended Trinity Baptist Church and was a WW II Navy veteran. He was a son of the late George and Nannie Anderson Jones. He was also preceded in death by his 1st wife, Gladys Autrey Jones; 2nd wife, Mae McMahan Jones and brother, Frank Edward Jones. Surviving are his sister, Ruth J. Hensley of Asheville; nephew Robert C. Hensley of Wilmington and several step grandchildren . Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Robert C.
