Gerald Melvin "Tom" Clark

Hondo, TX - Gerald Tom Melvin Clark, 63, of 2401 County Rd. #343, formerly of Buncombe County, died Sunday, March 3, 2002 in Fredericksburg, TX. A native of Buncombe County, he had resided in Texas for over 16 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was a former Mason. Mr. Clark was the son of the late Weaver Auby and Edna Mae Surrett Clark. Surviving are his daughter, Sherri Sheff of Texas; sons, Ricky Clark of Florida, Jerry Clark of Michigan, Gary Clark of Florida, and Keith Clark of Texas; sisters, Bernice Wenger of Tennessee, Brenda Brown of Alabama, and Betty Hale of Michigan; brother, Gene Clark of Tennessee; 14 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Al Mehaffey officiating. Burial will be in Big Sandy United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
