Gladys Thompson

Asheville - Gladys Mildred Wolfe Thompson, 80, died Thursday November 16, 2006. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Elzie and Hattie Eva Goldsmith Wolfe. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Robbins; brother, Raymond Wolfe and 2 grandchildren. Surviving are her son, Dennis Eugene Matthews of Asheville; sisters, Thelma Wolfe and Pearl Treadway both of Asheville; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
