Harry Daniel Wyatt, affectionately known as Danny, passed away peacefully in Asheville on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on November 2, 1958, in Asheville, he spent his entire life in a community he cherished deeply.
Danny began his professional journey as a welder at Asheville Steel, where he dedicated 20 years of his life. His passion for caring for others led him to transition into home health care, where he served as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). He found immense joy in caring for his patients, reflecting his nurturing spirit and gentle nature.
In his more youthful days, Danny was well-known for his adventurous side; he drove race cars and worked on the pit crew at the Asheville Speedway where he was know around the track as "Easy". It was at this beloved local venue that he met his wife, Laura Allen Wyatt, with whom he shared 27 wonderful years. Together, they created a life filled with love and kindness.
Danny's personality was characterized by his role as a good neighbor and a loving Christian. He took great pride in his faith and attended The Lighthouse Word of Life Ministry, contributing to his community and embracing the values he held dear.
Danny's family includes his devoted wife, Laura; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Allen; cherished nieces Debora Lonon Gibson and Pamela Lonon Driver, along with her husband Phillip; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family who will deeply miss his presence.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Robert Wyatt and Inez Greene Wyatt; and his sister, Bobbie Jean Wyatt Lonon and her husband Joseph Clyde Lonon.
As we remember Harry Daniel Wyatt, let us celebrate a man who lived with purpose, loved with a full heart, and impacted the lives of all who had the privilege to know him.
Visitation and funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Anders Rice & Roper Funeral Home in Asheville on Friday, February 27, 2026. The visitation will commence at 1:00 PM and ending at 1:45 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Patricia Fountain and Tim Warren will officiate. Burial will follow at Elk Mountain Cemetery.
In leiu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The National Kidney Foundation at kidney.org
