Hazel O. Forster

Fletcher - Hazel Roena Owens Forster, 95, of 35 Mt. Laurel Lane died Wednesday December 10, 2003 at Park Ridge Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Newport, TN. she had lived most of her life in the Asheville area. She was a member of The Chapel and had worked for 18 years at the Mary Rose Beauty Salon. She was a daughter of the late Pless and Bertha Owens and the wife of the late Homme D. Forster. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Forster. Surviving are her son, Robert E. Forster of Fletcher; daughters, Mary Rose Hagood of Asheville and Hilda M. Curd of Marion; grandchildren, Sharon James of Kansas City, MO., Harold Runion of Asheville, John Forster, Jr. and Frankie Forster both of Weaverville; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Harris officiating.
