Hiawatha Q. Biddix

Asheville Hiawatha Queen Biddix, 91, formerly of Onteora Blvd passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at The Oaks of Brevard. A native of Jackson County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1950 and retired from Mountain City Cleaners in 1962. Mrs. Biddix was a daughter of the late Wilburn Joseph and Martha Owen Queen and wife of Allen William Biddix who died in 1976. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Gertrude Queen of Brevard. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.
