Inez Mccoy

Asheville - Inez Thomas McCoy, 81, of 62 Hopedale Street passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010 at her home. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a former Supervisor with Allen Family Care Homes and was a member of the Asheville Family Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. McCoy was a daughter of the late Cas Thomas and Bessie Shelton Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wayron. Surviving are her husband, Mark Steven McCoy of the home; children, Allen and Mary, Roney and Cathy, Judy and Steve, Mike and Tina, Tim and April all of Leicester; step children, Jack, Dale and Melinda, Alan, Linda and Randy all of Asheville; sister, Alma; brothers, Malone, J.C., Lonnie and Nick; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Monday at the Asheville Family Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Rolf Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
