Irene Rice English

Asheville - Irene Rice English, 87, of 100 Cheerio Lane Apt C-70, died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at St. Josephs Hospital. A native of Madison, County. She had lived in Buncombe County since 1928. She was a member of Arden Presbyterian Church and had worked for Biltmore Bleachers. Mrs. English was a daughter of the late Ashford Bryson and Myra Ella Wilson Rice. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Ray English; daughter, Glenn Ella English Crumbley; sister, Ethel Rice OBrien and brothers, Clarence Rice and Elzie Rice. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Green Hills Cemetery with Rev. Ken Crabb officiating.
