James Calvin Foster

Seneca, SC James Calvin Foster, 80, of 1482 Tamassee Drive, passed away Friday, October 9, 2009 in Seneca. A native of Buncombe County, he retired from American Enka/BASF as a Supervisor of Maintenance. Mr. Foster was the son of the late Junius Lee and Elva Young Foster. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Gail Finch, and two brothers: William Lee Foster and Junius Lee Foster, Jr. Surviving are his son, Roy Lee Foster of Inman, SC; daughters: Diana Foster Wagner of Fairplay, SC and Karen Sue Foster of Sylva; sisters: Mary Gaddy of Candler, Betty Ward of Liberty, SC, and Ellen Davis of Easley, SC; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Rev. Charles Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
