James W. Hensley

Asheville - James Wilburn Hensley, 84, died Tuesday - February 5, 2008 at Memorial Mission Hospital after a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran, having served in the South Pacific during WWII and a member of VFW Post #891. He was a son of the late Herman and Annie Davis Hensley. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Hensley of the home; sisters-in-law, Marjorie and Mildred Freeman and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. James Lamb officiating.
