Orlando, FL

Jason Jerome Wallace, born on December 1, 1969, in Asheville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. In his passing, Jason has now gone home to be with The Lord Jesus Christ. Although he would humbly acknowledge the imperfections of his life, he has now been perfected in Christ.

His journey through life was marked by his deep passion for the comic industry, which he embraced from a young age. Jason began his career in this vibrant field before opening "Neo Tokyo," a beloved comic store in downtown Asheville. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to move to Lexington, South Carolina, where he resided for 15 years, further honing his craft and expanding his connections within the comic community. Eventually, he made his way to Orlando, where he co-owned Black Flag Comics, sharing his love of comics with a new audience.

Jason’s education began at the Asheville Catholic School, followed by Asheville High School, where he laid the foundations for a life dedicated to his interests and passions. He was known for his warm demeanor and infectious enthusiasm for comic books, which not only entertained but also inspired those around him.

Jason is survived by his beloved daughter, Jocelyn "Jo" Nevaeh Wallace; his mother, Sandra Hamlin Townsend; his father, Vernon Randolph Henderson; his brothers, Josh Townsend, Jeremiah Townsend, and Keith Sheppherd; as well as many friends and extended family who cherished him deeply.
