Jean Clark Mccoy

Leicester Gayla Jean Clark McCoy, 73, of 56 Hayes Cove Road, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the home of her son in Townville, SC. A native of Mitchell County, she had resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She retired in 1999 from Clarks Printing Company as Office Manager, was formerly employed with Square D as an Assembler and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. McCoy was a daughter of the late David Henry Clark and Lena Ester Laws Clark Hill. She was the wife of William Joseph McElrath who died in 1980 and Stephen John Brown who died in 1987. Surviving are her sons, Keith McElrath (Brenda) of Townville, SC and Jeff McElrath (Brenda) of Leicester; five grandchildren and two great granddaughters; sisters, Wanda Hayes and Elaine Couch (Anthony) all of Leicester and Kay Rogers (Andy) of Asheville; brother, W.B. Clark of Leicester; special friend, Jerry McCoy of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time.
