Jeanette Sexton

Weaverville Jeanette Hensley Sexton, 69, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 11, 2016 at her home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Sexton was a graduate of North Buncombe High School, and attended North Asheville Baptist Church. She retired from the Buncombe County School System following over 25 years of service. Mrs. Sexton was the daughter of the late Oscar Jerome and Mildred Lacy Maynard Hensley, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wayne Sexton. Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Sexton Wilson; granddaughters: Madeleine Wilson and Catrina Wilson; great-granddaughter, Kenna Crowder; and sister, Christine Hensley. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Troy Rogers and Rev. Wayne Cole officiating. The family will receive friends following the services. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
