Jeanne K. Ferg

Hendersonville Jeanne K. Ferg, 85, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at her residence. A native of Keokuk, Iowa. Mrs. Ferg had resided in Buncombe County since 1980, moving to Henderson County in 2010. She was a Registered Nurse for over 42 years and was formerly employed with St. Josephs Hospital. She was a member of the Asheville Quilt Guild of Western Carolina, East Asheville Quilters and The High Country Crafters-Buncombe County Chapter. She was a daughter of the late Harold Calvin and Lillian Mae Wright Kiser and was the wife of Nelson Mark Ferg who passed away February 20, 2011. Surviving are her sons, Richard D. Shumar of Franklin, IN, Harold F. Shumar of Hendersonville and Michael B. Ferg of Arden; daughter, Cathy Louise Baker of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Adaline Shumar, Larissa Shumar, Lindsay Ferg, Brice Ferg, Jennifer Ford and Kristy Bennett. Memorial services will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 2, 2012 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Aileen Lawrimore officiating.
