Asheville Jeffrey Lee Jeff Bassett, 53, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a self employed carpenter. He was a son of the late Robert Owen Bassett and Katherine Juanita Swanger Bassett. Surviving are his sister, Nanette Ewart and husband, Mike of Asheville; brothers, Robert Bassett of Asheville and David Bassett and nephew, David Eugene Bassett both of Marion. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Green Hills Cemetery with Mr. Mike Ewart officiating.
