Jerry Hipps

Jerry Hipps, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7th,2025, at his daughters home in Bakersville NC.

A native of Asheville, he was a son of the late Joshua B. Hipps and Helen Irene Cutshaw Hipps Haddock. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Powers; and sister, Stella Thompson.

Jerry was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He loved to sing and play the guitar and loved the Lord. He preached many times at the West Asheville Full Gospel Church.

Surviving are his daughters: Jerri Lynn Stowe, and Lisa McCoy and husband Justin; sister, Vivian Miles; brother, Mike McCale and wife Deborah; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at a later date.
