Jerry Turner Parker Sr.

Leicester - Jerry Turner Parker, Sr., 67, passed away Sunday December 13, 2009 at his home. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. He was a son of the late John and Margaret Parker. Surviving are his wife, Mary Parker of the home; daughter, Paula Lance of Fairview; sons, Jerry Parker, Jr. and wife Vicky of Raleigh, Richard Parker of Leicester and John Parker of Raleigh; sisters, Jennell Rogers of Asheville, Kay Rector of Weaverville and Doris Ihlenfeldt of Hendersonville; grandsons, Andrew Varner, Travis Varner and Zachary Parker and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Ridgeview Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Lanning and Daniel Sprinkle officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgeview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
