Jimmie Donald Ledford

Candler - Jimmy Donald Ledford, 73, of 725 Starnes Cove Road, died Thursday June 3, 2004 at his home following a period of declining health. A native of Rutherford County, he had resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He was a son of the late Edward Ledford and Gracie Roberts Ledford Boyd. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Jones; 3 sisters, Marjorie Ingle, Barbara Fowler and Dorothy Edmonds; 2 brothers, Clifford Boyd and James Boyd. Surviving are his wife, Louise B. Ledford of Candler; sisters, Thelma Benson of Asheville, Jeanette Holland of Asheville and Betty Whittemore of Weaverville and his granddaughter, Elycia Zgavec. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Bobby Benson and Homer Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:00 P.M.
