Jo Larsen

Malvern Hills Helen Josephine Jo Hyams Larsen, 72, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Gatlinburg, TN, she had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a member of Abernethy United Methodist Church. Mrs. Larsen was a daughter of the late Thomas Rollins Hyams and Dorothy Gallion Hyams. She was also preceded in death by her son, Scott Alan Larsen and brother-in-law, Don Wilkerson. Surviving are her husband whom she married September 11, 1964, Kenneth Leonard Larsen, of the home; daughter, Elizabeth Anne Larsen King and husband Scott and grandson, Kagen Rollins King all of Athens, GA; sister, Mary Ann Wilkerson of Boiling Springs, SC; niece, Donna Rae Gabriel and husband John, great nephew, Michael Gabriel and great niece, Reese McKenzie Gabriel. Memorial services will be held 5 PM Friday, June 8, 2012 at Abernethy United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the church.
