Joe Mcghee

Asheville - Joseph Roosevelt Joe McGhee, Jr., 67, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Charles George VA Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. McGhee had worked most of his life as a food broker. He was also a veteran of the US Air Force, and a regular volunteer at the Charles George VA Medical Center. Mr. McGhee was the son of the late Joseph Roosevelt McGhee, Sr. and Mary Della Cordelia Mae White McGhee. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Diana McGhee Henderson. Surviving are his daughter, Michelle; sister, Doris Weaver; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
