John Earl Jones

John Earl Jones, 73, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at Memorial Mission Hospital. John Earl was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was a son of the late Ernest and Essie Rice Jones. John Earl had retired from the City of Asheville and was an U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jones, brothers, George and Ronny Jones and a sister, Betty Joe Davis. John Earl is survived by his daughter, Kim Warren and husband, Ronnie; son, Ricky Earl Jones and wife, Dora; sister, Patsy Durham; brother, Billy Jones; granddaughter, Jennifer Burrell; grandsons, David Buckner and Brandon Jones; great grandchildren, Rosie, Kenny, Steven, Alexa and Brandon and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 7 at Green Hills Cemetery with Rev. Jackie Collins officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday November 6 from 4 to 6 PM at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
