Asheville - John Merle Meier, II, 25 of 9 Canteberi Court died unexpectedly Tuesday April 19, 2005 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Portland, OR. he had lived in Buncombe County for the past 17 years. Surviving are his parents, John Merle Meier, Sr and Trisha Marie Farris Meier of Mt. Vernon, OH.; Fiancee, April Covan of Asheville; children, John, Adrianna, Brittany and Brent; paternal grandmother, Margaret Meier of Mt. Vernon, OH.; maternal grandparents, Don and Patricia Farris of Bend, OR. and his best friends Travis and Matthew. He was a loved father, son and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. No formal services are planned at this time.
