Jonathan Allen Ray

Jonathan Allen Ray, 46, of Candler, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at his home.

A native of Asheville, Jonathan was the son of Viola Ray and the late Harold Ray. He was a member of Snow Hill Church in Candler and worked as a wine picker for Skyland Distributors.

Jonathan is survived by his wife, Carol Fowler Ray; his mother, Viola Ray; his children, Brian Keith Ray and Haley Ray; his siblings: Michelle Fox, Amanda Luther, David Jones, and Ozzie Luther; and his nieces and nephews: Whitney, Daniel, Brittany, Marissa, Axel, and Nevaeh Luther.

Services are planned to be held at Snow Hill Church in Candler at a later date.

Jonathan will be remembered by his family and friends, and his memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
