Joretta Crowder Guy

Candler - Joretta Lena Crowder Guy, 69, of 73 South Morgan Branch Road, died Wednesday August 7, 2002 at Memorial Mission Hospital following an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was a member of White Rock Baptist Church and was a daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel Morgan Crowder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Othell Guy and a son, Steve Guy. Surviving are her son, Perry Guy of Candler; sister, Minnie Morgan of Candler; brothers, Virgil Crowder of Candler, Ted Crowder of Hodges, SC, Dale Crowder of Raleigh and Kay Crowder of Candler; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at White Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Metcalf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
