Jose De Jesus Gomez, de 58 años, falleció el viernes 18 de septiembre de 2026, en su hogar en Candler. Nació el 18 de diciembre de 1967, en México.

Jose será recordado como un padre y abuelo amoroso que siempre puso a su familia por encima de todos los demás. La devoción que sentía por aquellos a quienes amaba estaba en el centro de su vida, y su familia continuará atesorando el cuidado, la fortaleza y el amor que brindó tan generosamente.

Le sobreviven sus hijos: Veronica Perez, Cristina Perez y su esposo Adam Pina, Juan Perez, Jose Gomez, Jr. y su esposa Haley Gomez, y Anahi Gomez. También deja atrás a sus queridos nietos: Alma Pahua, Daniel Pahua, Halley Maldonado, Grace Maldonado, Ethan Pina, Lillie Pahua y Luca Gomez; así como a su bisnieta, Aribella Pahua-Lopez. Cada uno de ellos fue parte de la familia que él mantuvo tan cerca de su corazón, y su recuerdo permanecerá con ellos en los días y años venideros.

Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Filemon Gomez, y su madre, Josefina Rico.

Se celebrará una misa en una fecha futura en St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 768 Asbury Rd, Candler, NC 28715.

Jose De Jesus Gomez será profundamente extrañado por su familia y por todos quienes lo conocieron y amaron. Su vida estuvo marcada por el amor hacia sus hijos y nietos, y ese amor permanecerá como su legado perdurable.

Jose De Jesus Gomez, 58, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, at his home in Candler. He was born on December 18, 1967, in Mexico.

Jose will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who always put his family above all others. The devotion he carried for those he loved was at the center of his life, and his family will continue to cherish the care, strength, and love he gave so freely.

He is survived by his children: Veronica Perez, Cristina Perez and her husband Adam Pina, Juan Perez, Jose Gomez, Jr. and his wife Haley Gomez, and Anahi Gomez. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Alma Pahua, Daniel Pahua, Halley Maldonado, Grace Maldonado, Ethan Pina, Lillie Pahua, and Luca Gomez; as well as his great-granddaughter, Aribella Pahua-Lopez. Each of them was part of the family he held so close, and his memory will remain with them in the days and years ahead.

He was preceded in death by his father, Filemon Gomez, and his mother, Josefina Rico.

A Mass will be held at a future date at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 768 Asbury Rd, Candler, NC 28715.

Jose De Jesus Gomez will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. His life was marked by love for his children and grandchildren, and that love will remain his lasting legacy.
