Judith Henderson Smith

Asheville - Judith Leigh Henderson Smith, 68, of 37B Elderberry Lane died Thursday May 15, 2008 at the John F. Keever, Jr Solace Center after a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired from the Asheville VA Medical Center as an x-ray supervisor and from AB Tech as an x-ray instructor. She was a daughter of the late Joshua Carter and Ruth Spurling Henderson. Surviving are her son, Michael Alan Smith and wife Melanie of Arden; granddaughter, Jaci Smith of Candler; sister, Joyce Pruett of Candler; nephew Scott Clinton Pruett and wife Tera and their son Sean; lifelong friend, Beverly Fish and extended family. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
