Judy Noreen House Neighbors

Judy Noreen House Neighbors, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Mission Hospital while surrounded by her family.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Edward McKinley House, Sr. and Kathleen Sherlin House. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Rans Neighbors; son, Richard Neighbors; brothers: Lawrence House, Banjamin House, Henry House, Edward McKinley House, Jr., and Thomas Austin House; and sisters: Nancy House Thomas, Peggy Williams, Elenor House, and Sarah Jones.

Judy retired from Wilson Art after more than 20 years of service. She was a charter member of Brown Wood Capel Missionary Baptist Church. Judy enjoyed life and had a personality that would brighten all those around her. She loved her grandbabies, gardening, and fishing.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Cynthia Cooper and husband Ray, and Skeeter Davis and wife Marissa; grandchildren: Ellie, Josie, Harlon, Tory, Zoey, Kaylannie, Adrian, Troy, and Kathleen; brother, Roger Dennis; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Walnut Island River Park, 3042 Old Marshall Highway, Alexander, NC 28701.
