Judy Smith

Arden - Judy Ann Smith, 65, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 31, 2012 after a long illness. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lela Stroupe Smith; two sisters, and a brother. She was a longtime member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Keenagers Bible Study Group. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Terry Smith; daughter, Teresa Thomas and husband Clinton; son, Jesse Allen Smith; three grandsons: Brandon, Ryan and Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Lomax and Rev. Daniel Dockery officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 7:00 9:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
