June Bowman Lane

Asheville – June Bowman Lane, 64, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Pardee Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Harold Winston Bowman and Annie Mae Russ Bowman. June was the cornerstone of her home, always providing love and direction to those she loved as a Mother and Nana. She grew up as a member of Corinth Baptist Church and was currently attending Freedom Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband and soulmate of almost 15 years, John Everett Lane; children: Jennifer Christine Campbell and husband Ryan of Leicester, and Harold Keith Sellers and wife Amanda of Asheville; cherished grandchildren: Kinnley Campbell, Lelan Campbell, Macy Campbell, and Sadie Campbell; sister, Mitzi Bowman Wade and husband Larry of Leicester; niece, Courtney Jackson and husband Phil; nephew, Justin Wade and wife Andrea; and beloved great-niece and nephew: Anna Belle Wade and Lane Scott Wade. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 till 2 PM on Saturday at the funeral home prior to services.
