June Brinkley

Fairview - June Elizabeth Nelson Brinkley, 78, died Saturday November 1, 2008 at the Mission Campus after an extended illness. A native of Unicoi County, TN, she had lived in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Earl Nelson and Creedy Martin Hensley. Surviving are her husband Richard Brinkley of the home; daughter, Sandy Defosses of FL; sister, Nelda Runnion of TN; brothers, Thurman, Jack and Cecil Hensley all of TN; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday at Asheville Family Church with Pastor Rolf Woodard officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the church.
