Karen M. Mcmahan

Asheville Karen Floreta Miller McMahan, 57, of 94 Pearson Drive passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was employed at Givens Estates following three years of service. Mrs. McMahan was a daughter of the late Charles Joseph Miller and Edith Elmeda Calloway Miller. Surviving are her husband, David Gary McMahan of the home; sons, Chris McMahan and Steve McMahan & wife, Tracie all of Asheville; granddaughter, Macaleigh Sparks; sisters, Elmeda Foster & husband, Ronnie of Candler and Ethel Dyer of Asheville; uncle, Noel Calloway & wife, Joan of Asheville; several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held 12:30 P.M. Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesdsay at the funeral home and at other times, the family will be at the home of her sister, Elmeda Foster, 29 Hominy Hill Drive, Candler, N.C.
