Katy Wilde Morrow

Leicester, - Katy Wilde Morrow, 87, of 420 Dix Creek Rd. #1 went to be with her Lord, Tuesday - January 8, 2008 at her home after an extended illness. A native of Madison County, she had lived most of her life in Buncombe County. She attended Georgetown Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Dwight H. and Alice Bishop Wilde and the wife of the late Virgil Eugene Morrow. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, 2 sons, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Surviving are her son, Lester Morrow of Leicester; daughter, Alice Esta King and husband Roger of Leicester; sisters, Minnie Morrow of Leicester, Emagene Helms of Woodfin, Geraldine Helms and husband Henry of Asheville and Margaret Wooten of Leicester; brothers, D. H. Wilde and wife Jo of Dumas, MS and Frank Wilde of Marshall; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Georgetown Baptist Church with the Revs. Lee Davis, Gary Fender and Ricky Townsend officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
