Kevin Howell

Alexander James Kevin Howell, 51, of 30 Chris Holly Drive, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Johnnie Hannibal Howell and Agnes Alza Sluder Howell. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie Keith Howell. He was a former Heavy Duty Truck & Equipment Operator, was a member of the House of Hope and served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Darlene Hart Howell of the home; children, Clifton Meade and wife Jessica of Marshall, Beverly Moore and husband Christopher of Asheville and Johnathan Kevin Howell of the home; sister, Karen Grant and husband Winfred of Alexander; grandchildren, Caitlin, Madison and Tanner and nephew, Matthew Grant and wife Ashley and their two sons, Skyler and Finn. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Daryl Overton and Rev. Gerald Stines officiating. Private burial will be held at Mountain View F.W. Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home.
