Larry Dean Clark, born on April 3, 1959, in Asheville, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Leicester, North Carolina. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Larry was deeply rooted in his community and cherished by those who knew him.
Larry was a devoted family man, known for his unwavering love and support for his children, Krystal Clark and Kevin Clark and his wife Christen. He took immense joy in the company of his grandchildren: Kayleigh, Avery, Ezra, and a baby granddaughter expected in April, always providing them with guidance, affection, and countless cherished memories.
His appreciation for family extended beyond his immediate relatives. Larry is survived by his beloved sister, Diane Clark; and his brothers, Jerry Clark and Jimmy Clark. He was also a proud uncle to his nieces and nephew, including Jennifer Moss and her husband Josh, Robin Brown, and Chris Clark, and his lifelong friend and partner, Belinda Ball.
Larry's character was reflected in his personality; he found great fulfillment in tending to his yard, a testament to his love for nature and the outdoors. He believed family was of utmost importance and consistently demonstrated his commitment by always being there for them.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Clark and Edna Mae Price Clark; his son-in-law, Matthew Bray; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Clark and Arlie Clark. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who remain.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Anders Rice & Roper Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Redmon Baptist Church Cemetery, starting at 2:30 PM.
Larry Dean Clark's legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, who will remember him for his kindness, dedication, and the countless ways he enriched their lives.
