Larry Lark Metcalf

Asheville - Larry Lark Metcalf, 58, of 315 Aiken Road, Homestead Apts # C-1 died unexpectedly Monday April 19, 2004 at his home. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville. He was a son of the late Lark Jahue and Nina Lanette Abernathy Metcalf. Surviving are his wife, Norma Dean Dockery Metcalf of the home; sisters, Ruby Arrington of Enka, Bonnie Reece of Arden, Robbie Banks and Carolyn Meese both of Candler; brothers, Charles Metcalf of Rockford, IL., Paul Metcalf of Murphy, Robert Metcalf of Waynesville, Edward Metcalf of Candler and Rev. Benny Metcalf of Lancaster, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville with the Rev. Bruce Lack officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
