Larry P. Blanton

Candler – Larry Preston Blanton, 66, of Candler, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Roy Lee Blanton and Julia Bailey Blanton. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Janice Roberts and brother, Guy Leroy Blanton. Larry was survived by Heather Green of Asheville, who was like a daughter; sisters: Joyce Smith of Tennessee, Retha White of Oteen and Regina Babar of Charleston, SC; and by several nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
