Lillian Holcombe

Asheville - Lillian Creola Frady Holcombe, 91, of Asheville, went to be with her Lord Saturday, December 5, 2015 at her home. A native and resident of Buncombe County for most of her life, she was formerly employed with C.P. Clare Company and Square D. She was a member of Woodland Terrace Church. Mrs. Holcombe was the daughter of the late John Hall and Lena Mae Burrell Frady. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Alvin Holcombe, and her sister, Frances Dotson. Surviving are her husband, Alfred Holcombe, whom she married February 9, 1947; daughter, Martha Holcombe Large and husband John of the home; sons: William David Holcombe and wife Pat of Tuxedo, NC, and Ronald Eugene Holcombe and wife Terina of Jefferson City, MO; 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Clarence Dotson. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Marc Penley and Rev. Willard Pruitt officiating.
