Lois Elizabeth Lawson

Asheville- Lois Elizabeth Lanning Lawson, 88, of 221 Edgewood Road passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Oaks at Sweeten Creek. A native of Buncombe County and resident most of her life. Mrs. Lawson was a daughter of the late Harvey Hilliard and Vina Irene Towe Lanning and the wife of Russell Harold Lawson who died in 1986. Surviving are her 2 sisters, Evelyn Robinson and Belle Cochrane, brother, Homer Lanning and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 3 PM Tuesday at New Salem Cemetery in Skyland with the Rev. Bill Lee officiating. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
