Lorraine June Bartlett Arrington

Lorraine June Bartlett Arrington, 84, died early January 7th, 2026, at ­­­­­­­­­­­CarePartners Hospice Solace Center after a period of declining health.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, June was born at home in Woodfin, North Carolina, one of three children.

She was a graduate of Erwin High School and earned a Business Degree at Blanton’s Business College in Asheville.

She was formerly employed with Sayles Biltmore Bleachery and worked alongside her husband running their trucking company for 35 years until they retired.

June was a long time NASCAR fan, loved to travel, and was an enthusiastic and outgoing friend to everyone she met.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Wade Jennings Bartlett and Margaret Holcombe Snyder. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard A. Bartlett.

Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Bob Hilliard Arrington; her daughter, Angela (Christopher) of Asheville; granddaughter, Emelia Arrington Conley; and one brother, Ed Bartlett (Mary) of Asheville.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 6 PM on Friday, January 9, 2026, in the Chapel of Anders Rice & Roper Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Sutton officiating. Her family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
