Louise Anders Roland

Asheville - Louise Anders Roland, 83, of 511 Onteora Blvd., died Saturday September 20, 2003 at her residence. A native of Haywood County. She had lived most of her life in Buncombe County and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Lum C. and Lona Kuykendall Anders. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Marie Roland; sister, Hazel Lunsford and brother, Ben Anders. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Auburn Roland of the home; sons, Larry Roland and wife Deborah, and J. L. Roland all of Asheville; sisters, Edith Brooks of Lake City, FL, Mardell Miller of Davenport, FL, Ruth Wilson, Jennie Pruett and Myrtle Nichols all of Waynesville and Stella West of Candler; brother, Weaver Anders of Candler; grandsons, Shane and Chad Roland of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Michael Scroggs officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
