Louise E. Wallen

Asheville - Louise Elizabeth Wallen, 83, died Friday, January 10, 2003 at St. Josephs Hospital. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. Mrs. Wallen was formerly employed with Memorial Mission Hospital and the Asheville V.A. Medical center as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Charles Lee Rabbit Epley, Sr. and Madge Robinson Epley. Mrs. Wallen was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Bell; sister, Frances Young and brother, Robert Epley. Surviving are her husband, Edward W. Wallen of the home; daughter, Becky Almond of Arden; brothers, Kenneth Epley of Charlotte and C.L. Epley, Jr. of Asheville; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
